1.词性不同
such是形容词，用来修饰名词；
例：She is such a diligent student． 她是个如此勤奋的学生。
so是副词，用来修饰形容词或副词
例：She is so diligent a student． 她是个如此勤奋的学生。
2.当修饰单数可数名词时，单数名词前有不定冠词与形容词时，so和such的位置不同。

3.当修饰复数可数名词时一般只能用such。
