表示“如此…以致…”的so…that… 和such…that… 是我们初中同学就应该熟练运用的。
两者的的用法区别也不复杂，只需分清以下几点：
1，so是副词，修饰形容词或副词。
The river is so widethat no one can swim across it.
这条河太宽了，没人能游过去。
The coffee is so fullthat it might spill over.
咖啡太满了，可能会溢出来。
The exam was so difficultthat all students in the class failed.
考试太难了，班上所有的学生都不及格。
It’s so hotthat we have to stay in the room with air-conditioning.
天气太热了，我们不得不呆在有空调的房间里。
The policeman ranso quickly he caught the thief in two minutes.
警察跑得很快，两分钟就抓住了小偷。
The children spoke French so wellthat we all thought they were from France.
孩子们法语讲得很好，我们都以为他们是法国人。
2，such是限定词，修饰名词
Hes such a geniusthat I admire him.
他真是个天才，我佩服他。
Its such a boring lecturethat all audience felt sleepy.
这讲座太无聊了，所有的听众都昏昏欲睡了。
I drank such a lot of coffeethat I was still wide awake at two in the morning.
我喝了这么多咖啡，以至于凌晨两点还没睡。
It was such delicious foodthat I’ll never forget its taste.
这是如此美味的食物，我永远不会忘记它的味道。
They are such kind peoplethat they are always ready to help those in need.
他们是如此善良的人，他们总是乐于帮助那些需要帮助的人。
3，可数名词单数有形容词修饰，so/such都对，但注意结构不同。
so+形容词+a/an+名词
such+a/an+形容词+名词
不是：
It was so an exciting tripthat we will never forget.
应该是：
It was so exciting a tripthat we will never forget.
It was such an exciting tripthat we will never forget.
这是一次激动人心的旅行，我们永远不会忘记。
不是：
He is so a shy boythat he always has few words.
应该是：
He is so shy a boythat he always has few words.
He is such a shy boythat he always has few words.
他是个害羞的男孩，总是很少说话。
4，名词前面是many/much/few/little，不用such，用so。
So many yearshas passed that we hardly recognized each other the other day.
这么多年过去了，前几天我们几乎认不出对方了。
Theres so much timethat we can have a long holiday.
时间很充裕，我们可以好好放个假了。
He had so few friendsthat he was very lonely.
他朋友寥寥，孤独寂寞无无人陪。
We had so little timeto catch the train that we had to eat our lunch on the fly.
我们要赶火车时间紧张，只能匆匆忙忙的扒了口饭。
此外：
so that在一起，引导结果状语或目的状语
He checked carefully, so that the mistakes were caught.
他仔细检查，以便发现错误。
such that 在一起，是“这样…以致;如此”
His behavior was such thateveryone disliked him.
他的行为使每个人都不喜欢他。
