3.help ss understand the story of “what’s the matter ?”and act the dialogue out .

step 2 presentation

1 teach “forest “

t writes a big letter “y” on the blackboard .

t: it’s big letter “y”.

t draws a tree .

t: what’s this now ?

s1: it’s a tree .

t draws many trees and asks , “ what is it now ?”

s2: forest .

t : yes , it’s a green and big forest .

guide ss to read the word .

t : who can spell the word “ forest “ ?

s1: f-o-r-e-s-t . forest . teacher writes the word on the blackboard .

cai shows a giraffe eating leaves .

t: look , there is a giraffe in the forest . t writes “there is … .” on the blackboard and guides ss to read “there is …. “

teacher puts the headgeer on his own head .

t : hi ! i’m a giraffe . the forest is big . i like eating grass in the forest . t does the actions .

t and ss make a dialogue .

cai shows more pictures and ss practice with deskmates .

a: look , there is a … in the forest .

b: hi ! i’m a … . the forest is … . i like … in the forest .

2.teach “lake”

t writes a small “o” and big letter “o” on the blackboard .

t draws a lake with the big letter “o” .

t : what’s this ?

s1: it’s a lake .

teacher guides ss to read the new word . and writes the word on the blackboard .

cai shows a duck in the lake .

t : look , there is a duck in the lake . can you act like a duck ?

s1: hi ! i’m a duck . the lake is clean . i like swimming in the lake . t guides ss to do the actions .

teacher chooses one student to practice with .
