杞麓湖杞麓湖距离通海县城1.5公里，与秀山紧密相连，又称通海湖，属南盘江水系，风光绚丽，婀娜多姿，每当风平浪静，天空一碧如洗之时，湖面从东到西便出现一条长达数丈的湛蓝色带，古人称这奇景为“湖水拖蓝”，是通海八景之一。沿岸烟柳迷茫，平畴千顷，村落棋布。面积40多平方公里，平均水深4米，最深处约15米，总容量1.5亿立方米。湖内盛产鲤、鲫、大头鱼等。岸边有人工筑起的海埂，即可饱览湖光，又可在此闲钓。杞麓湖，在唐代时称为“海河”，后又称“通湖”。元代水位高到杞麓山(今凤山)脚，故又名“杞麓湖”。迄今湖东面的落水洞，两旁悬崖高峻，峭壁耸峙。相传，远古时杞麓湖湖面宽广，茫茫苍波，无出水口，是神僧畔富用锡杖凿通以后现出千顷良田。湖北面的沙沟嘴，直伸进湖内。四周植柳种花，景色独秀，是避暑的好地方。
