兰州交通大学交通运输学院兰州交通大学交通运输学院的前身是兰州铁道学院铁道运输系，成立于我校1958年建校之时，是我校最早建立的5个系之一。1958年，在北京铁道学院（现北京交通大学）运输系主任、我国铁道运输专业的奠基者与创始人之一、著名运输专家林达美教授的带领下，由北京铁道学院部分教授和骨干教师成建制迁兰组建而成，并于当年招收了首届铁道运输专业本科生60人。1988年以后，运输系先后增设了包装工程、工业企业管理、会计学等4个专业，并改名为管理工程系；1995年，学校成立经济系（现经济管理学院），将本系的经济管理类教师和相应学科划归经济系，“管理工程系”更名为“运输管理工程系”，，学校进行二级学院整合，我系正式更名为“交通运输学院”。四十多年来,交通运输学院经过校内外几代人的不懈努力,已具有了相当的办学实力，共为社会培养各类毕业生四千余人，涌现出了以黑龙江省副省长刘学良、铁道部总经济师黄民为代表的一批杰出校友，另有厅局级干部20多人、处级干部800多人，有三分之一以上的人获得了高级技术职称，还有大量生产一线的科研技术骨干，我院毕业生在我国铁路运输部门、尤其在西部地区铁路中享有很高的声誉。学院现有教职工76名、本科生1740多人、各类研究生300余人；教授9人（其中博士生导师2人）、副教授20人、讲师21人；教师中有博士10人、硕士44人。学院有“交通运输”、“交通工程”、“物流管理”、“包装工程”、“信息管理与信息系统”5个本科专业；有“交通运输规划与管理”、“管理科学与工程”、“系统工程”、“安全技术及工程”4个硕士点，“交通信息工程及控制”1个博士点（与校内两个单位合建），“交通运输规划与管理”、“管理科学与工程”2个省级重点学科，其中“交通运输规划与管理”是1980年我校首批获得硕士学位授予权的4个学科之一，也是全国铁路高校及科研院所中第一批获得授予权的两个单位之一。学院历来重视本科教学，1990年被甘肃省委、省政府授予“教学先进集体”。近5年来学院教师主编教材、专著13部，其中有2部教材入选国家“九五”和“十五”重点建设教材，7项教改课题获省级教学成果奖，一位教授被聘为教育部交通运输专业教学指导委员会委员。近5年来，学院教师在各级刊物发表学术论文270多篇，其中在国内外重要刊物发表论文60多篇；承担各类科研项目90余项，连续三次获校“科研先进集体”，有10项成果获省部级以上的奖励，其中参与完成的“中国铁路客票发售和预订系统”获国家科技进步一等奖，主持完成的“运筹学在铁路运输中的应用”获中国运筹学应用二等奖。近年来，学院加大了与国外高水平大学合作的步伐，先后与美国依阿华州立大学、加拿大蒙特利尔大学、日本早稻田大学、澳大利亚昆士兰工业大学、香港理工大学等建立了合作关系。学院还聘请了吉林大学杨兆升教授，日本早稻田大学mitsuogen（玄光男）教授，清华大学刘宝碇教授，同济大学徐瑞华教授，中国包装检测中心李华主任为本院的兼职教授。6月，学院成功主办了第三届信息和管理科学国际会议。
