日语日语Japaneselanguage日本的官方语言。系属未定。分布于日本列岛。标准语为东京话，在东京横滨方言基础上形成。有两大方言：本土方言(包括东日本、西日本等方言)和琉球方言。语音系统比较整齐。现代日语中有5个元音，2个半元音，23个辅音。有清音与浊音的对立，但音节构造简单，数目较少，除辅音つ可用于音节末尾构成闭音节外，其余均为开音节。音节具有等时性，长音与短音具有区别意义的作用。分高低声调，声调变化只发生于音节之间。日语汉字的发音为音读和训读两种。词分为独立词与附属词两大类，词序比较自由，句子以谓语为主。动词、形容词、形容动词有词尾变化，变化以后面的粘着成分为转移。日语中敬语用法十分发达而复杂，语体分简体和敬体，口语与书面语的差异、男女用语的差别较大。词汇分4类：和语词、汉语词、外来词以及混合词。日语的文字由汉字和假名两套符号组成，并混合使用。假名有两种字体：平假名和片假名，各有73个。前者假借汉字的草书造成，用于日常书写和印刷；后者假借汉字楷书的偏旁冠盖造成，用于电报、标记外来词、象声词以及特殊的词语。明治期间还出现了罗马字拼写法，不是主要文字。
