动词短语是由动词和介词、副词、名词等构成的，在句中作谓语。
309.slow down放慢速度
用法：slow down后常接动词不定式。
例句：Elderly people have to slow down to live longer. (12月四级)
老年人要放缓节奏才能活得更长久。
结构分析：Elderly people是主语（Elderly是前置定语），have to slow down是谓语，to live longer是不定式词组作宾语，其中longer是状语。
310.speak out大胆地说
用法：speak out不能直接接宾语，可以与介词连用，引出内容。
例句：She was the first candidate to speak out for strong pre-K programming. (6月四级)
她是第一个为学前班计划说话的候选人。
语法点：表示“某人是……的第一个”时，一般用：sb+be the first+名词+to do.
311.spread out展开
用法：spread out接宾语时，宾语是名词或名词短语。
例句：The long scroll takes three people to spread out.
那幅长的画卷需要三个人才能展开。
312.spring up涌现
用法：spring up是不及物动词词组，不能接宾语。
例句：Afte rthe introduction of polices, all kinds of small and medium enterprises continue to spring up.
政策出台后，各种小企业不断涌现。
0206作业动词短语：stand up for支持，拥护用法：stand up for后的宾语可以是人，也可以是物。
例句：In that country, no one stands up for the tyrannical monarch.
