副词短语在句中的功能相当于副词，通常在句中作定语、表语或者状语。25. at a time一次，每次，在某时用法：at a time通常用于动词之后或者句末，类似的词组还有at one time。例句：The burger business faces more pressure from regulators at a time when it is already adapting strategies in response to shifts in the global economy. (6月四级)当汉堡公司适应了全球经济变化的战略时，更多的是面临来自监管机构的压力。结构分析：The burger business是主语（the和burger是前置定语）， faces是谓语动词（现在式）， more pressure是宾语（more是前置定语）， from regulators是介词词组，作后置定语，at a time是状语，when引导时间状语从句， it是主语，指前面的汉堡公司， is already adapting是谓语（现在进行时）， strategies是宾语， in response to shifts in the global economy整个是后置定语，修饰strategies，其中in the global economy是介词词组，作后置定语，修饰shifts。26. at all costs不惜一切代价用法：at all costs相当于at any cost, 在句中作状语。例句：The police state openly that they will save the boy at all costs.警方声明将会不惜一切代价救回那个男孩。27. at alltimes随时，永远用法：at all times在句中作时间状语，相当于for ever, all the time。例句：They are going to seek advice from the expert at all times.他们随时准备咨询专家。28. at any moment随时用法：at any moment一般位于句尾，作时间状语。类似的词组还有at any minute, at any time。例句：You can come and fetch your lost purse at any moment.你随时准备咨询专家。
