人本主义心理学人本主义心理学humanisticpsychology20世纪50～60年代在美国兴起的一个心理学流派。主张心理学者应关心人的价值与尊严，研究对人类进步富有意义的问题，反对贬低人性的生物还原论和机械决定论。其观点与近代心理学两大传统流派——精神分析和行为主义心理学有分歧，在西方称为心理学的第三种力量。但作为一个学派它缺乏公认的强有力的领导人。因此被认为不是一个体系严谨的学派，而是一种同观点学者的广泛联盟。其创始人是A.马斯洛，后来的主要代表人物是C.罗杰斯。人本主义心理学家认为，凡是有机体都有一种内在倾向——以有助于维持和增强机体的方式发展自身的潜能，这就是机体潜能说。人的机体除具有一般生物潜能外，还有心理潜能。心理潜能也有求得发展的内在倾向。人本主义心理学的主要理论——自我实现论就是指人有这种尽其所能的内在倾向。人本主义心理学家主张以现象学方法研究人的心理现象。认为心理学不能仅仅依靠对一般人的调查统计和平均数字提出理论，而应着重对健康人或自我实现者进行质的研究。因而他们强调个案研究的重要意义，主张走一条由特殊到一般、由个体到法则的研究路线。人本主义心理学作为一种思潮已在西方社会引起重视，但在美国心理学界内部的评价却很不一致。具有代表性的心理学史家和体系学家的评价是：人本主义心理学实际上是一种把心理学研究范围扩展到包括人类所特有的多方面精神生活的研究，它对近代传统心理学的批判是有力的，但对自身理论的论证尚嫌不足。
