野骆驼别名双峰驼、野驼学名Camelusferus英文名bactriancamel骆驼科Camelidae分布内蒙古、甘肃、青海和新疆国家一级保护动物大型偶蹄类。体躯高大，和家养双峰驼十分相似。头小，耳短，上唇中央有裂，鼻孔内有瓣膜可防风沙。背具双驼峰，尾较短。四肢细长，脚掌下有宽厚的肉垫。全身被以细密而柔软的绒毛，毛色多为淡棕黄色，吻部毛色稍灰，肘关节处的毛尖棕黑色，尾毛棕黄色。生活于戈壁荒漠地带。骆驼性情温顺，机警顽强，反应灵敏，奔跑速度较快且有持久性，能耐饥渴及冷热，故有“沙漠之舟”的称号。野骆驼有季节性迁移及昼夜游移现象。主要采食红柳、骆驼刺、芨芨草、白刺等植物，吃饱后找一个比较安静的地方卧息反刍。发情期在3月份，孕期13个月，每胎1仔。早在二千多年前，家养双峰驼就是我国著名的古代“丝绸之路”上的交通工具。
