临界转速使转子发生强烈振动的转速,它是转子动力学中研究得比较完善的一类问题。转动系统中转子各微段的质心不可能严格处于回转轴上,因此,当转子转动时,会出现横向干扰,在某些转速下还会引起系统强烈振动,出现这种情况时的转速就是临界转速。为保证系统正常工作或避免系统因振动而损坏,转动系统的转子工作转速应尽可能避开临界转速,若无法避开,则应采取特殊防振措施。临界转速和转子不旋转时横向振动的固有频率相同,也就是说,临界转速与转子的弹性和质量分布等因素有关。对于具有有限个集中质量的离散转动系统,临界转速的数目等于集中质量的个数;对于质量连续分布的弹性转动系统,临界转速有无穷多个。由于转子的形状通常比较复杂,计算临界转速多用近似方法。当精度要求不高时,可用瑞利法(见瑞利原理)算出临界转速的一阶近似值。瑞利-里兹法和布勃诺夫-伽辽金法则可用来作比较精确的计算。精确计算大型转子最常用的方法是HMP法,它是在H.霍尔泽计算扭振固有频率的方法的基础上,经N.O.密克勒斯塔和M.A.普罗尔改进而来的(HMP就是他们三人姓氏的缩写)。 该法的要点是:先把转子分成若干段,再经换算把每段上的集中质量和分布质量集聚在该段的两端,然后逐段作挠度、转角、弯矩、剪力的传递运算。在运算中,上述四个量都表为一个假定的转速的函数。每一个满足转子两端一切边界条件的转速就是一个临界转速。与各阶临界转速相应的振型也可由此算出。对某些转子,临界转速的概念有了变化,一些只在转动时才显出效应的因素,如急螺效应(回转轴线改变方向时转子产生惯性力矩;转子振动时轴线改变方向)和轴承特性等,会使临界转速随转子的实际转速或转子中由各微段质心偏离引起的不平衡量的大小而改变。当这些因素不能忽略时,临界转速同转子不旋转时的横向振动的固有频率在数值上就不一致。参考书目丁士铎著:《转轴的临界速度》,中国工业出版社,北京,1962。
