This topic reminds me of the time we took class pictures on graduationday.
Actually, we all had mixed feelings,on the one hand, we were pretty psychedabout graduating from university and getting a diploma.
on the other hand, we also felt a little bit sad ‘cause we had to saygoodbye to all the classmates who have spent the last four years with eachother.
However, when we took the picture, we still didn’t forget to be funny. Imean, we made faces and posed hilariously to the camera despite thephotographer’s objection. He was so pissed off.
In the end, he couldn’t stand us anymore, and shouted, couldn’t you guysact like normal people and just smile to the camera?
After we were done having fun, we thought, maybe we should listen to thephotographer and take a decent picture together.
So we stood still, and said cheese when he clicked the shutter.
After we got the picture, we were surprised to see that everybody lookedgreat in the picture, I mean, we all had a sweet smile on our face, lookingenergetic and hopeful.
I framed the picture and put it on my bookshelf. It would bring backmemories from my college years.
Every time I saw those smiling faces I would recall all the preciousmoments we had together during those four years, and I just couldn’t helpcracking a smile.

I'd like to talk about an interesting conversation I had with a strangerwhile I was on a flight from Dallas to Buenos Aires, Argentina, about two yearsago.
If I remember correctly, he was an American backpacker and wanted to travelaround Argentina on his own. Since I had lived in Argentina for more than 10years, I guess I was the ideal person to give him suggestions for his trip.
At the beginning of the conversation, he thought I was also a tourist(because of my Asian looks) so he wanted to share and exchange trip ideas withme. But once I told him who I really was, I was the one making most of thetalking. I remember he was a really nice guy and very very adventurous. Hebasically wanted to try everything and make the most of his trip, that's why hewas very willing to listen to me and take notes of my suggestions on some secretspots around the city as well as popular tourist attractions in differentprovinces. I also wrote down for him the names of some traditional foods that hemust try as part of the experience.
I found the conversation really interesting because it was hard for me tobelieve that a person could have such courage to travel by himself to a countryhe had never been to. It was also quite difficult to imagine how he couldsurvive with his broken Spanish! But well, I guess that is what a backpacker issupposed to be.
All in all, although we haven't kept in touch since that conversation, Ireally hope he had a good time in Argentina!
