英语逐渐成为全球通用语言，越来越多的学生想从事英语教学这个行业，而TESOL这个专业就是为培养英语教师而设计的。除了英语专业的同学之外，不乏有很多学生想跨专业申请，那么，问题来了：
❓英国的TESOL接受转专业申请吗❓
英国大多数学校的TESOL专业在申请要求中会明确说明：
“Applicants should have a second-class Bachelor"s degree in a relevant subject (e.g. English, languages, education, linguistics). Applicants normally need at least two years" full-time language teaching experience or part-time equivalent post first degree. ”
看到专业限制了吗？要求本科背景为英语专业、教育学专业或语言学相关专业。
❗但是，也有例外哦❗
有些英国学校也接受转专业同学申请TESOL专业，这些学校会指出：不限制背景专业，可以根据个人情况（教学经历、实习经历等）酌情考虑。我们具体来看这些学校的Entry requirements。

利兹大学（QS排名：93）
Entry requirements：A bachelor degree (hons) with a 2:1 or non-UK equivalent plus two years of relevant experience. We will consider applicantswith alternative qualifications or experience on an individual basis.
雅思要求：7.0 overall, with no less than 6.0 in any component.

诺丁汉大学（QS排名：96）
Entry requirements：2:2level (or international equivalent). Applicants without a first degree butwith an approved, relevant professional qualification and/or substantial teaching experience will be considered on an individual basis.Minimum of nine months" full-time classroom English language teaching experience (650 hours of part-time experience).
雅思要求：6.5 (no less than 6.0 in any element)

利物浦大学（QS排名：181）
Entry requirements：For entry to our master"s programmes a good 2:1 class Bachelors degree in English studies or a similar subjectis required. Applicants will have a first degree, usually in English, Linguistics or Education (but we will consider candidates who have studied other subjects).
雅思要求：6.5 (with aminimum of 6.0 in each component)

巴斯大学（QS排名：172）
Entry requirements：A four-year Bachelor’s degree with a final overall score of at least 80% depending on the institution attended. To apply for this course you may havean undergraduate degree in any subject.
雅思要求：6.5 overall with no less than 6.0 in all components

爱丁堡大学（QS排名：20）
Entry requirements：A UK 2:1 honours degree, or its international equivalent, in a relevant discipline. Previous teaching experience is not required.Alternatively, you maybe considered on the basis of employment or relevant experience;please contact us to check.
雅思要求：total 7.0 (at least 6.5 in each module)

❗转专业申请TESOL如何增加成功率呢❗
1.丰富的教育/教学实习/工作经验。比如培训机构的英语老师/英语助教，公立/私立学校的教学实习，英语支教等。最好有2-3段实习经历，每段实习时间1-3个月。

最后，学姐教大家一个曲线救国的办法，一样可以上G5名校。
转专业申请TESOL确实会被录取门槛影响，原本自身条件很优秀、可以申请G5学校的学生，为了转专业申请TESOL专业，只能去稍微排名低一些的学校。那么如何避免这种情况发生呢？
大家想一下，我们读TESOL专业，为的是学习如何进行英语教学，为的是学习应用语言学和教育学的相关知识，为的是毕业之后可以从事语言、教育相关的职业（比如做英语老师、高校的行政老师等），那么，还有一个很讨巧的专业是Education。
Education的录取门槛没有TESOL这么高，对于申请者的专业背景没有具体要求，也就是说，不论是英语专业、教育学专业、还是理工科的学生，都有资格申请Education。几乎英国所有高校都设有Education专业，可谓是选择多多。此外，Education专业的就业选择和TESOL专业相似，大家可以考虑一下~
